One dead in four-vehicle accident
A motorist has been killed in a crash in Surrey involving a car, a tipper lorry and two motorcycles.

Police said the accident happened on the A243 bypass at Leatherhead on Sunday at 1215 BST when a Vauxhall Vectra crashed with a tipper lorry.

Two motorcyclists were unable to avoid colliding with the vehicles. One of the bikers hit the car and the other crashed into the lorry.

The car driver died in hospital and one motorcylist was seriously injured.

Surrey Police said the biker was in a stable condition in hospital.

The other motorcyclist and the passenger in the car suffered only minor injuries and shock.

An appeal for witnesses to the accident has been made by Surrey Police.
