Several people are still being questioned about the murder
Magistrates have granted police extra time to question several people arrested over the death of a man who was killed by a crossbow bolt.

Wayne Philips, 30, was found at a flat in Patterson Court, Dartford, Kent, on Friday morning, and died shortly after.

Police said a chest wound caused by a crossbow bolt caused his death but would not say if it had been fired.

Several people were arrested on Friday and police have been given permission to hold them until Monday afternoon.

It is thought Mr Philips, of St Edmond Road, was earlier involved in a dispute prior to the incident in the Temple Hill area of the town.

He was taken to the Darent Valley Hospital after being found with the bolt wound.

Police said on Friday that "numerous" people had been arrested in connection with the incident but they would not confirm how many.

Officers from Kent are working with the Metropolitan force on the investigation.
