Off-licence raid cashier tied up
Three men who robbed an off-licence and left the teenage cashier tied up with gaffer tape are being hunted by police.

The robbers went into Thresher's in Kingston Road, Leatherhead, and asked for a case of lager, but threatened the cashier when he turned his back.

He told police something was pressed into his back and he looked up to find the men were all masked. They left with several bags of alcohol and cigarettes.

The robbery happened last Thursday, but police have only just released details.

Loaded vehicle

Police said the men entered the shop at about 1945 BST.

After tying the 18-year-old shop worker up the robbers made several trips in and out of the shop, apparently to load up a vehicle, police said.

The cashier was freed when he was found by the shop manager about an hour later.

The three men were all white and the two who spoke had local or London accents.

Hooded sweatshirts

One was described as just over 6ft, very thin and in his mid 20s, wearing a dark shirt and trousers, Donnay tennis shoes and a light blue Nike baseball cap.

A second was about 5ft 11ins, had a very high-pitched voice and wore a black hooded sweatshirt and white T-shirt.

The third man, who did not speak, was about 5 ft 9ins, and also wore a dark-hooded sweatshirt.

Police want anyone with information to contact them.
