Cliff fall man's body discovered
Fox Cove
The couple walked down a cliff path before being swept off by a wave
Police believe they have found the body of a holidaymaker who was swept into the sea off rocks in north Cornwall earlier this month.

James Burnett, 20, from Basildon in Essex, slipped off rocks at Fox Cove near Treyarnon Bay, on 9 August.

Police believe a body found washed up on a beach at Constantine Beach at 0630 BST on Wednesday is that of Mr Burnett. The coroner has been informed.

Mr Burnett was knocked unconscious after falling into the sea.

His 18-year-old girlfriend struggled to revive him, but he was swept away.

The girl, from Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, who was on holiday with Mr Burnett and her family, managed to clamber ashore. She was treated for shock and mild hypothermia.

The couple were walking down a cliff path and were believed to have reached a ledge when a large wave swept them both out to sea.

Falmouth Coastguard scrambled both of Newquay's lifeboats and a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose.

The visitors were all staying at Trethias Farm Campsite on the edge of Fox Cove.
