A man has been arrested after police allegedly discovered drugs with a street value of £100,000 in his car.
The 41-year-old, who has not been named, was followed from Merseyside on Friday afternoon and arrested on the M62/M6 slip road near Warrington.
Officers found what is thought to be a large amount of cocaine in his vehicle.
He has been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and is due to appear at St Helens Magistrates Court on Monday.
