Pub acts to bring in smoking ban
A Gloucestershire pub has completely banned smoking following demand from its customers.

All cigarette machines have been taken out of the Air Balloon on Crickley Hill near Gloucester.

The Laurel group, which owns the pub, already operates total smoking bans at four of its other 625 businesses around the country.

Air Balloon manager Trevor Walter said the parent company had seen trade increase at these four pubs.

"Even in the centre of London, where you'd think it wasn't a good idea, the clientele has changed completely and revenue has gone up, not down."

From now on, Air Balloon customers who light up will be "politely asked" to go outside if they want to smoke.
