Injured man rescued from mountain
Members of two mountain rescue teams have rescued an injured man who fell in the Lake District.

A 51-year-old from Castleton, near Whitby, was with a group ascending Helvellyn via Swirral Edge on Saturday afternoon when he injured his leg.

Members of Patterdale Mountain Rescue team along with Penrith Mountain Rescue Team were involved in the rescue.

The man was treated at the scene by the rescue teams before being stretchered off the fell and taken to hospital.
