Inquiry after asylum protest
Police in Sheffield are investigating a public order incident involving supporters of asylum seeker Naseh Ghafor who is on hunger strike.

Mr Ghafor, 20, is a Kurdish Iraqi who sewed up his mouth when he stopped eating on 8 July.

About 30 of his supporters gathered in Burngreave Road at 1900 BST on Tuesday.

Officers say an altercation followed an incident with a bus and the road had to be closed for 20 minutes.

During the incident, some of the demonstrators chased the bus and words were exchanged with car drivers.

Police are now studying CCTV footage, but say there are no reports or injuries or arrests.
