Robbers forced teenager to drive
A teenager has been forced to drive two robbers around the Sandy and Biggleswade area of Beds for two hours.

The men forced their way into the 18-year-old's car in Longfield Road at Sandy, near the border of Cambs and Beds and demanded he drive them around.

They tried to get the victim to withdraw money from a cash machine.

When this was unsuccessful they left him in the Sandy area taking a small amount of cash with them. The incident happened on Saturday.

Bedfordshire police are appealing for witnesses after two robberies in the Sandy and Biggleswade area on Saturday.

'Victims intimidated'

The robbery happened on Saturday between 1430 and 1640 BST.

Between 2000 and 2030 BST on the same night a 16-year-old was approached and threatened on the garage forecourt on the A1 near Sandy.

He was forced to hand over a small amount of cash before the offender left the scene in a white transit van, which was driven by another man.

Det Con Colin Richardson said: "It is clear that these victims were intimidated and very frightened during their ordeal.

"I am anxious to speak to anyone with information relating to these incidents so we can stop these cowardly individuals from offending again."
