Stiller strikes at UK film launch
Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor

Hollywood actor Ben Stiller attended the UK premiere of his latest film Dodgeball in London on Tuesday with his wife and co-star Christine Taylor.

Stiller, 38, plays an egomaniac gym owner who tries to take over a rival's run-down business.

The movie is also based on US sport dodgeball, in which players throw balls at their opponents' bodies.

"I did accidentally hit Christine in the face. Let's just say she wasn't happy," said Stiller.

"We took a few bruises during the making of this film. It was a bizarre thing to be doing to each other. Most people just tend to hit one another at home, not when they're at work."

Taylor, 33, joked that she punished her husband when they got home.

"The locks might have been changed, that's all I've got to say," she said.

Vince Vaughn, who plays Stiller's rival, also attended the premiere in Kensington.

Vaughn also appeared alongside Stiller in Starsky and Hutch earlier this year.

Stiller and Taylor married in 2000 and have a two-year-old daughter called Ella.

The BBC's David Sillito
"While it may not be always subtle, it's certainly keeping Mr Stiller rather busy"
