Boy's hand crushed in escalator
A five-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after his hand was crushed in a moving shop escalator.

The child was travelling on the moving stairs in the clothes shop H&M in Bournemouth on Tuesday when his hand slipped into the mechanism.

Fire fighters and paramedics arrived at the store in Castlepoint and battled for nearly 20 minutes to free him.

He was rushed to Poole General Hospital by ambulance suffering severe crush injuries to his hand.
