A huge turnout is expected for the winning team
Thousands of fans are expected to turn out on Sunday to celebrate Blackpool's LDV Vans Trophy triumph.

The team which beat Southend will be guests of honour at a special presentation by the Mayor and Council leader Roy Fisher.

Main roads in the town centre will be closed for most of the afternoon to accommodate the huge crowds which are expected to turn out.

The event will conclude with a private mayoral reception for the team.

Autographs and pictures

Blackpool outclassed Division Three side Southend to clinch the LDV Vans Trophy for the second time in three seasons at the Millennium Stadium.

Sunday's homecoming will begin at 1300 GMT on the steps of the Town Hall where the trophy will go on show.

Fans will then get a chance to see the cup during a walkabout by players who will sign autographs and pose for pictures.

Talbot Square, Clifton Street, Corporation Street and Market Street will be closed to traffic between 1200 GMT and 1430 GMT.
