Kriss police search building
Kriss Donald
Kriss Donald's body was found on Tuesday, 16 March
Forensic investigations are continuing at a flat in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow as part of the Kriss Donald murder inquiry.

Detectives investigating the 15-year-old's death are looking for evidence to link the address to those responsible.

Officers believe a group of Asian men lived in the flat - close to where Kriss was snatched - at least a week before his abduction.

They also believe the group left the address in a hurry the day after it.

A forensic team entered the flat in Pollokshields, in the south of the city, on Saturday afternoon.

The 15-year-old's body was found in the east end of Glasgow on 16 March, a day after he was bundled into a car following a struggle with a group of Asian men.

He had been beaten to death in an attack detectives described as "brutal and senseless".

Our initial forensic examination of the flat has been very encouraging with a number of items of forensic importance seized
DS McKenzie

Detective Superintendent Elliot McKenzie, the officer in charge of the inquiry, said the full forensic examination could take weeks to complete.

Specially trained search teams have been combing the gardens of the Herriet Street property, a lane at the rear of the flats and dustbins looking for clues.

DS McKenzie said: "We believe the flat was occupied by at least four or five men of Asian appearance at least a week before Kriss was abducted and that these men left the house possibly in a hurry the morning after.

"Our initial forensic examination of the flat has been very encouraging with a number of items of forensic importance seized.

"It is my intention to ensure that the flat is subjected to the most thorough of searches to glean as much evidence as possible to link its previous occupants to Kriss's abduction and death and this will take time."

And he again appealed for help from the public in tracing those responsible for the teenager's death.

Officers are currently carrying out door to door enquiries in the area to establish who exactly lived in the flat up until recently.

Despite extensive police inquiries, and what officers called a "tremendous" response from the public, no arrests have been made in connection with Kriss's murder.
