One person has died in a head-on crash between two vehicles and a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision - after two separate accidents in Essex.
Two vehicles collided at 1120 GMT on Saturday in Althorne and the main road to Burnham-on-Crouch was closed.
The north-bound carriageway of the A12 was closed at Ardleigh after a car and motorcycle collided at about 1200 GMT.
The air ambulance took the seriously injured bike rider to hospital and the road will be shut for several hours.
