Eight council tenants in Derby have been evicted from their homes so far this year - for being noisy neighbours.
In the last three months Derby Homes threatened to kick 25 people out because of anti-social behaviour.
The organisation said the number of complaints made about noise is always higher in the summer, when people's windows and doors are open.
Chris Robinson from Derby Homes said patrols are deployed on the city's estates to catch repeat offenders.
He said: "They respond to complaints from tenants and lease holders about problems they're experiencing.
"All the vans are equipped with video surveillance equipment, and the role in that case is to gather evidence, go and talk to people out there and find out what's going on."
