A man from Surrey has died in hospital after his car was in collision with a lorry on the A39 in Cornwall on Monday.

Martin Graham-Scott, 41, of Guildford, was driving a silver Renault Scenic car when it was in collision with a 7.5-ton Mercedes lorry.

His three-year-old son and six-year-old daughter were critically injured in the accident at West Hill, Wadebridge, and are at Truro's Royal Cornwall Hospital.

The 47-year-old lorry driver from Padstow was treated for minor injuries.

Police say the accident happened at 1700 BST on Monday close to the entrance of the Royal Cornwall Showground.
