Cheering fans help football team
Fans of a North Yorkshire football club are being encouraged to clap harder when they go to a match.

Officials at Harrogate Town say the match-day crowd of about 500 people is not creating enough noise.

Now they have decided to give their team an extra boost by playing a recording of fans cheering every time they score a goal.

Managing director Nigel Pleasance says the recording gives players a lift on the pitch.

"It all helps to create an atmosphere. All we have got to do now is keep on scoring goals," he said.
