A man has died after being hit by a train in Appleby, Cumbria.
British Transport Police say the man was struck by the Leeds to Carlisle train, in the Drawbriggs Lane area, just before 1100BST on Tuesday.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be forwarded to the coroner in due course.
The man is in his sixties and from Appleby, but police are not releasing his name until the next of kin have been informed.
The incident caused train services to be delayed by more than an hour.
