Campbell becomes a father again
Broadcaster Nicky Campbell has become a father to a fourth daughter.

His wife, former head of Virgin Radio news Tina Ritchie, gave birth to Aisla at St Thomas' Hospital in London.

The 42-year-old Scotsman, who presents the BBC Watchdog programme and is a host on Radio Five Live said: "Another little girl. It is so magical."

Campbell is about to host a new interactive quiz show on the BBC, while he co-hosts Now You're Talking, a daytime show which replaced Kilroy.

Bond actor launches own website

James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan has finally launched his own website after winning a battle to gain control of an internet site that used his name.

Brosnan was handed control of the website name after United Nations arbitrators ruled a cybersquatter was using the actor's fame to make money.

The website, www.piercebrosnan.com, now offers career and personal news and a monthly question and answer session.

The actor has said he does not know if he is to star in the next Bond film.

Young actress leaves the Street

Young Coronation Street actress Emma Woodward, who plays Sophie Webster, is to leave the show after seven years to concentrate on her education.

The 11-year-old first joined the ITV soap at the age of three, and was the second child to play Sophie.

Casting is to begin soon to find a replacement actress.

"She has been a joy to have around. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has worked with her, and most of all by her screen family," said a spokeswoman.

June release for Spider-Man film

Spider-Man 2 will swing into US cinemas on 30 June, Sony Studios have said.

It will be released two days earlier than planned to take advantage of the 4 July holiday weekend, one of US cinema's busiest times of the year.

The first Spider-Man film took more than $808m (£498m) globally and became the biggest US box office hit of 2002.

Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst reprise their lead roles for both the sequel and Spider-Man 3, which is due to be released on 4 May 2007.
