Razzell denied leave to appeal
A man serving a life sentence for murder has been denied leave to appeal against his conviction.

Glyn Razzell was found guilty last November of killing his estranged wife Linda, who disappeared on her way to work at Swindon College in March 2002.

The body of the 41-year-old mother of four has never been found.

A judge has now ruled there are no grounds for the case to go to the Appeal Court. Razzell's legal team have submitted a renewed application.

The investment market manager, who lived in Crewkerne in Somerset, has always maintained his innocence.

At his trial Judge Justice Pitchers said: "You have an obsessive interest in money, and money in some way lay behind what you chose to do.

"You have deprived four young children, who you should have loved and protected, of their mother."
