Hundreds of protesters gathered in Leicester on Saturday to demonstrate over recent events in the Middle East.
The Leicester-based pro-Palestinian group, Friends of Al Aqsa, organised the rally following the assassination of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.
The rally, in the city's Town Hall Square, was to highlight what organisers called Israel's "out of control" policies.
Among the speakers was the anti-war Independent MP, George Galloway.
Police said they had worked with organisers to keep disruption to a minimum.
