Man dies after fire at a bedsit

A man died in a fire at a bedsit in Bedfordshire on Friday night.

Smoke was seen coming from a house in Buxton Road, Luton, shortly after 2000 GMT, a Bedfordshire Police spokesman said.

The spokesman said it is not clear if the fire was started deliberately and officers have started an investigation into the incident.

Police want to hear from a man who walked the victim home from the town at about 1800 GMT on Friday.
