Hundreds view Navy's latest ship
Hundreds of people are expected to tour the Royal Navy's newest vessel in Liverpool when she is open to the public for the first time on Saturday.

HMS Mersey is berthed at Canada Dock and members of the public will be able to go aboard at noon.

The vessel, which arrived in the port on Tuesday for a commmissioning ceremony, is open until 1600 GMT

Although based in Portsmouth, it was decided to give its namesake region the first viewing.

The ship will be a fisheries protection vessel.
