Man killed as car leaves road
A man from Lincolnshire has been killed when the car he was driving hit an electricity pole and went into a dyke.

His car - a silver Peugeot saloon - was discovered upside down in a ditch by a passing motorist on London Road in Louth, at 0049 GMT on Saturday.

The victim is thought to have been in his mid 30s and from the Grimsby area but police will release a name until he has been formally identified.

The road was closed until 0530 GMT as power cables were blocking the road.

The car's engine was still running and the man was found away from the vehicle, apparently thrown by the force of the crash.

Police say the cause of the incident is still unclear and they are appealing for witnesses.
