Boy dies following burns accident

The boy died in Sheffield Children's Hospital on 17 August
A teenager has died six days after suffering burns in an accident at an industrial estate, police said.

The 14-year-old boy was injured in a disused business premises in Chase Way, West Bowling, Bradford on 11 August.

Police believe the boy was exposed to a flammable liquid, but would not say exactly how he suffered the burns.

A 12-year-old boy arrested after the incident has been released from his bail conditions. West Yorkshire Police are continuing to investigate.

The youngster was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary but later transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital, where he died on Tuesday.

His body will be taken back to Bradford for a post-mortem examination, a West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.
