A 19-year-old man has been charged with assault following an alleged attack on a 67-year-old lollipop man near Redruth.
The lollipop man was guiding children across the road on Friday afternoon at Lanner Primary School when the alleged incident happened.
The lollipop man, from Illogan in Cornwall, suffered cuts and bruises to his cheek.
The alleged attacker will appear before Truro magistrates on 1 April.
