Man in hospital after shots fired
Parts of Radford Boulevard in Nottingham were closed to the public after shots were fired and a local man was taken to hospital.

The incident happened at around 0200 GMT on Saturday at the junction of Ilkeston Road and Radford Boulevard.

Police say a brawl broke out in the Drum nightclub on Ilkeston Road, which spilt out onto the street.

A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital with head injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening.

Second shooting

Radford Boulevard was closed in parts this morning as officers comb the area for clues but has since reopened.

House to house enquiries are being carried out as part of the investigation.

The incident is not the first in which a gun has been used in the same area.

In November 2002, a 33-year-old woman was fatally shot in the back of the head as she left the club.
