Police have extended powers under the new project

Police in Bristol have been granted added new powers to tackle anti-social behaviour in the city centre.
Officers now have authorisation from Bristol City Council to implement the Dispersal of Groups powers in Canon's Marsh and the city centre.
The new notice comes after complaints of persistent anti-social behaviour.
"The extension of power is part of a continuing drive by Safer Bristol to tackle crime and fear of crime in the city centre," said a spokesman.
Returned home
"The new powers represent the action taken by the public to support the police and council in tackling anti-social behaviour," said Inspector Mike Cox.
The powers, granted under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 enable officers to disperse groups of two or more people either immediately or by a specified time, and to move people on who do not live within the area.
Under 16s can be returned home between 2100 BST and 0600 BST, if they are not under the effective control of an adult over 18.
In all cases, the powers only apply to people whose behaviour is deemed to be anti-social.
Anti-Social Dispersal Orders are already in place in several areas of the city, including parts of Whitchurch and Windmill Hill.
