Seven suspected dealers arrested
Seven people have been arrested and class A drugs worth £30,000 seized in a crackdown on drug trafficking, police said on Tuesday.

The suspected drug dealers were arrested in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk and Lowestoft, Suffolk, as part of Operation Acquire.

The arrests were the culmination of a Norfolk Police operation targeting drug dealers from Liverpool.

A "substantial sum" of money was seized along with heroin and crack cocaine.

The latest arrests brings to 53 the number of suspected drug dealers arrested in the operation over the past 10 months.

A police spokeswoman said many of those arrested were from the Liverpool area.

Det Ch Insp Barry Lister, head of the drugs and serious crime squad, said he was delighted with the success of the operation which had had a significant impact on the supply of heroin and crack cocaine in Norfolk.
