Choirs in Jersey are being encouraged to enter a national competition to bring glory to the island.
The winners of BBC Radio 3's Choir of the Year will get the chance to sing live on BBC radio and television.
The competition is one of the few events in the music calender to celebrate amateur talent.
The official closing date has passed, but there is still time for Jersey choirs to enter before the south area auditions in Basingstoke on 1-2 May.
European event
There are three categories for adult, youth and children's choirs.
The winners will get airtime on Radio 3 and on BBC Four, as well as cash prizes.
One choir will go forward to represent the UK at a pan-European competition later in the year.
Two years ago, members of St Michael's Senior Choir made it through to the second round of the competition, one of only 17 groups nationwide.
