Woman denies murdering girlfriend

A woman has denied murdering her former lesbian lover.

Tracie Grundy, 39, appeared via video link at Liverpool Crown Court where she pleaded not guilty to the murder of 31-year-old Nicola Edge.

The victim's body was found at Ms Grundy's flat in Circular Road, Birkenhead, Merseyside, on 2 January.

Ms Grundy, who is a mother of one, was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court for trial on 28 June.
