Man held after car passenger shot
A 27-year-old man is being questioned by police investigating a shooting in Huddersfield.

The victim was a passenger in an Alfa Romeo car which was waiting to turn off the ring road towards Kirkgate at 0215 BST on Sunday.

A red hatchback pulled along the nearside of the Alfa and shots were fired hitting the 22-year-old man in the leg.

He is in hospital but his injuries are not life threatening.

The man who has been arrested is said to be from the Fartown area of Huddersfield.

Officers say the red hatchback may have been in Northumberland Street near the Rhythms in Indigo nightclub shortly before the shooting.
