A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital in County Down suffering from stab wounds.
He was found after police were called to a house in Caulfield Place in Newry at about 0100 BST on Tuesday.
His condition is described as serious.
A man and a woman have been arrested.
The area was cordoned off by police.
Police in Newry have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
