Results from a post mortem examination on the body of a backpacker who died in Australia have failed to show a cause of death.

Sean Kennedy, 22, from Northampton, went missing in Sydney after leaving a concert venue in the city.

After an 11-day search, the body of the former Liverpool student was recovered from Cockle Bay on 10 August.

The Coroners' Office in New South Wales say toxicology and tissue sample tests will now be taken.

Officials say it could be some months before the results of these tests are known.

Australian police have said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
