Drivers invited to child seat day
Drivers are invited to check if their child seats are safe at two open days.

Parents can drop in to Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Castle Lane, Bournemouth, until 1400 GMT on Friday. Children will get a free goody bag.

In the last three years, 56 children under 12 have been hurt in car accidents in the Dorset town, many while wearing safety seats.

Meanwhile, Hampshire police officers are testing seats at Tesco in Port Solent between 1400 and 1600 GMT.

Bournemouth Borough Council says seats are often fitted incorrectly or are unsuitable for the model of car.
