Lincolnshire's new Deputy Chief Constable says he is not ruling out introducing a curfew for some teenagers in parts of the county.
Richard Crompton has moved to the county as serving as Assistant Chief Constable of Cumbria Police.
While he was there, the force introduced a curfew for under 16s to deal with a rise in anti-social behaviour problems.
The controversial experiment in Wigton cut crime by 75%.
Deputy chief constable Crompton said: "If there is a specific problem which merits this response, then we should consider it and consider it seriously.
"But I don't want to give the impression that all of a sudden curfews are going to appear all over the place."
The campaign group Liberty said the move contravenes the European Convention on Human Rights.
