Nightclub attack man in hospital
A man is in intensive care in hospital after he was attacked in a nightclub.

The 21-year-old needed a blood transfusion after suffering severe cuts to his face and neck in the assault at Elements club in Bournemouth.

It happened shortly after midnight on 13 August and anyone who saw the attack is urged to contact the police.

A 22-year-old London man who was arrested in connection with the attack remains in police custody.

The incident happened in the Circo Bar Four part of the nightclub in Fir Vale Road in the town.

The victim is 5ft 10 tall with blonde spiky hair. He was wearing spectacles, a beige jumper and blue jeans.

He was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and treated for his injuries - his treatment included a blood transfusion as he lost a lot of blood.

He has since been transferred to Poole Hospital and said to be stable in the intensive care unit.
