Inmate on the run back in custody
A prisoner who went on the run in Essex almost three weeks ago was recaptured in London on Monday.

Daniel Fisher, 29, escaped from the custody area of Brentwood police station on 3 August.

Fisher, a prisoner at Pentonville jail in London, had been taken to Brentwood for questioning in connection with offences committed in Essex.

A police spokeswoman said he was arrested in a joint operation involving officers from Essex and the Met.

"Daniel Fisher was arrested this afternoon in the Isle of Dogs area of east London," the spokeswoman said.

"He is currently being questioned by the Metropolitan Police in relation to his escape and other offences."
