Inquiry into Bath Spa project
Pools at the Bath Spa complex
The Spa costs have spiralled
An internal investigation has been launched into Bath and North East Somerset Council's handling of the Bath Spa project.

Councillors were told on Thursday that the project could cost up to £35m - three times the original estimate.

The investigation will attempt to find out if communication was good enough to stop the costs spiralling.

A row over peeling pool paint has caused much of the delay over its opening.

The spa project is funded in part by an £8m Millennium Commission grant.

There remains no projected opening date.
