Indonesia's President Megawati Sukarnoputri says her government has now achieved economic stability following the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s.
Mrs Megawati was speaking in her annual state of the nation address.
She used the occasion to present the government's final budget before the second round of voting in the presidential election next month.
Mrs Megawati is standing for re-election, but in the first round last month, she came second to a retired general, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
