Extradited Albanian denies murder

An Albanian man extradited from Italy has denied kidnapping and murdering a fellow countryman whose burned body was found in a car two years ago.

Taf Krasniqi, 25, of Celadine Drive, Luton, was found at Caddington, Bedfordshire, on 21 September 2002.

Ymer Aliu, 20, who was brought back to the UK from Italy on 12 June, appeared on a video link from Bedford Prison at Luton Crown Court on Monday.

He was remanded in custody. His trial is due to begin on 28 February 2005.
