A body found in waters around the Sound of Mull is believed to be that of a diver who went missing while exploring a shipwreck nearly two weeks ago.
Neil Robertson, 50, from Rothes in Moray, was part of a group exploring the sunken steel steam ship, the Shuna, about 10 miles north of Lochaline.
On Thursday, a body was recovered following an underwater search involving police dive units.
Police hope to confirm the identity of the body on Friday.
The remains are due to be recovered by Strathclyde Police Underwater Unit.
The dive party, from Salen, on Mull, had raised the alarm after Mr Robertson got into difficulties at about 1430GMT on Saturday 13 March.
The 240ft Shuna, which sank in 1913, is popular with diving parties.
