Russians found murdered in villa
Three Russians have been found murdered in a villa near the Cyprus coastal resort of Paphos, police say.

The two men, aged 51 and 56, and a woman, 25, were reportedly found in a bath on Wednesday night, and were wrapped in black nylon bags.

A senior police officer told French news agency AFP the Russians had been killed with an axe.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday. The three victims had suffered multiple head injuries.

"The attackers - we are positive there was more than one - used both sides of an axe on their victims," the police officer said.

The bodies were found after the lawyer of one of the Russians contacted police after being unable to reach his client for several days, Cypriot radio reported.

The motive for the killing was unclear.

"It was a very unprofessional job, clues were left behind," AFP quoted the officer as saying.
