Man and woman die in road crash

Fife Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident
Two people have died after their car collided with an articulated lorry on the A92 Glenrothes to Dundee road.

The man and woman, who have yet to be identified, died instantly in the crash which happened at about midnight on Sunday, near Ladybank in Fife.

The road was closed for seven hours while police accident investigators examined the scene.

The crash, involving a Renault Clio and a Scania lorry, happened just south of the Melville Lodges roundabout.

The man and woman, who have not yet been identified, were travelling in their silver-coloured car when it collided with the lorry travelling in the opposite direction.

Fife Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident, or who saw the vehicles prior to the accident, to contact them.
