Man hit by car dies in hospital
A 78-year-old man has died in hospital six days after being hit by a car in Bognor, West Sussex.

Police said the man was crossing the A259 Felpham Way on Friday when he was in collision with Ford Mondeo being driven by a 39-year-old Lancing woman.

He was taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, with serious injuries but on Thursday police said he had died.

The victim has not yet been identified and police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.

Police said the collision happened at the junction of Downview Road at about 1650 GMT.
