Spa education is recognised again
Bath's Roman Baths has received a national award for the quality of its education services.

It is the third time in a decade the Baths, run by Bath & North East Somerset Council, has won the award.

The Heritage Education Trust's Sandford Award is given for an "excellent range of educational activities and resources [for] people of all ages".

Helen Mansfield, Museums Education Manager, said: "The council is delighted to receive this award."

The judges said: "The Roman Baths within the world heritage site at Bath present a unique inspirational experience for visiting students.

"The activities and opportunities provided to school groups are well researched and skilfully presented so that learning is interesting, stimulating and relevant."

The award will be officially presented at a ceremony in November.
