Man threatens police with firearm
Police in Nottingham are hunting a man who walked into a police station and threatened staff with a gun.

Officers say the man aimed a long barrelled firearm at a female member of staff at Oxclose Lane police station in Bestwood at 1530 BST on Wednesday.

He then walked off, and threatened a police officer and two neighbourhood wardens in separate incidents.

The man is described as in his 20s or early 30s, around 5ft 8ins tall, with short dark hair, and of mixed race.

After leaving the police station, the offender walked off in the direction of Beckhampton Road and pointed the gun at another officer, who was driving towards him.

A few minutes later he threatened two neighbourhood wardens on nearby Elm Bridge.

Officers say he was last seen at 1555 BST on Cherry Orchard Mount in Bestwood.

Detectives are asking for anyone who saw the man to contact them.
