Drugs seized in raids on houses
Police have seized £25,000 worth of cannabis resin during raids on a number of houses in West Cumbria.

Cumbria Police said six people had been arrested in connection with the raids in the Egremont area on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

A quantity of cocaine and a motorbike were also seized.

Police said four men and a woman had been released on police bail pending further enquiries, and a sixth person was still being questioned.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said those arrested were a 23-year-old man, on suspicion of supplying a controlled substance, three men aged 21, 24 and 33 arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and a 24-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of supply and possession.

The sixth person, still in police custody, was arrested on suspicion of possession.
