Work will start in July this year
A hospital in Somerset has been given £3.7m to develop services for patients with heart diseases.

Musgrove Park Hospital will use the money to build new accommodation and a second unit for diagnosis of heart problems and unblocking arteries.

David Allwright, from Musgrove, said: "The team in the existing unit has an excellent reputation and staff are looking forward to expansion."

Building is due to start in December and the work completed by 2006.

The hospital has 776 beds and employs approximately 3,500 staff.
