City named 'top spot for aliens'
Nottingham has been named as one of the country's top five places for "spotting aliens".

According to officials at the National Space Centre in Leicester, the neighbouring city has been identified as an alien hot spot.

It is based on the number of letters they have received from the public about unusual goings-on.

Others places in the top five list are Anglesey, Clapham Common, Ilkley Moor and Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk.

Chas Bishop space centre chief executive said: "We live in a world where what was once science fiction is now science fact.

"So, should we continue to take the view that people who believe in aliens are bonkers or say it is worth taking a closer look?

"The volume of letters and questions we receive demonstrates that space is fascinating to people."
